Putting Children Before Corporate Profit

Kids Over Kapital is a youth-led advocacy and research initiative focused on exposing, tracking, and preventing exploitative child labor practices in the United States.

We use public data, investigative reporting, and policy analysis to make child labor enforcement visible  and to ensure accountability across industries, corporations, and lawmakers.

Kids Over Kapital is an independent student-led initiative. We are not affiliated with any political party, government agency, or corporate entity. Our research is publicly available and our advocacy is driven by one principle: children belong in classrooms, not construction sites.

  • In recent years, child labor violations in the United States have surged across agriculture, manufacturing, meatpacking, construction, and service industries.

Despite federal protections, enforcement data is fragmented, difficult to access, and rarely connected to the policymakers and corporations shaping labor conditions.

Kids Over Kapital exists to close that gap transforming scattered public records into accessible tools for advocacy, education, and reform.

    • Track child labor enforcement actions, legislation, and investigations

    • Map violations by state, congressional district, and industry

    • Publish fact-based reporting and case summaries

    • Connect labor data to political representation and policy outcomes

    • Build public tools that support accountability and reform
